Healthcare Optimisation Partners Sdn Bhd (“HOP”) was incorporated in August 2017 with the intention to unlock the potential of a sustainable, system-wide, optimized management of healthcare resources across both public and private sectors through an innovative approach of combining a human-centric user experience interface with cloud-based machine learning and analytics, augmented operational efficiencies, and savvy financial engineering.

With ever increasing medical costs, and the resulting knock-on effect of dependency on the free-for-service yet high standards of care of the public healthcare system under the Ministry of Health (“MOH”), Malaysia’s medical inflation rate in the next few years is projected to rise even higher than the current 12% per year, causing increasing dependency on the free-for-service public healthcare system. HOP aims to optimise the distribution of health resources through Public-Private Partnership (“PPP”) between the MOH and private healthcare providers.

The hopQ service starts off with diagnostic imaging, namely CT and MRI.  hopQ’s objective is to provide quality, high-value, and high-capital expenditure  diagnostic CT and MRi services at private medical centres to the patients of the public healthcare system, at a lower price point than ever before.

hopQ’s proposition of improved  service delivery and health outcomes through seamless integration requires an amalgamation of work processes and system integration.  As such, long term working relationships driven to innovate current industry best practices is vital. While hopQ aspires to accomplish quantum leaps at a system level, the immediate approach is to initiate pre-implementation working discussions on systems coordination and operational integration, engagement of hospitals, doctors and patients in the public and private sectors, management of a public awareness campaign, and development of long-term service relationships between MOH and hopQ in innovating Malaysia’s healthcare ecosystem.
